Where does our data come from?
The data for Franklin County CARES comes from a variety of state and national sources, including the National Cancer Institute, the Centers for Disease Control, the American Community Survey and many Ohio-specific sources. Most of the data is reported on an annual basis. Additionally, for select data sources such as nonfatal overdoses, fatal overdoses, 911 dispatches, and justice diversion programs, data is collected from agencies or services specific to Franklin County. The pages for these indicators note the source(s) for each indicator. Each indicator page includes the source of the data, the URL of the source, and when this data was last updated.
